About the Office of the Keeper of the Rolls

The Keeper's Office can be described as the Rolls Department since it is responsible for the publication of the Rolls of Court on a daily and weekly basis.

The Keeper and their staff have to take account of daily changes and allocated work to Court and Judges accordingly.

The Keeper

The Keeper is responsible for:

  • Weekly assignment of Judges to civil work taking into account the criminal programmes already agreed with the Deputy Principals.
  • Setting up additional civil and criminal courts.
  • Employing temporary/retired Judges as and when required.
  • Assignment of Clerks to Judges.
