Consignation Register

The Accountant of Court has a statutory obligation under the Court of Session Consignation (Scotland) Act 1895 to be the custodian of sums under the following situations:

  • Sums held by order of a Court of Session Interlocutor.
  • Unclaimed dividends (dissenting shareholders) or unapplied balances in liquidation and administration proceedings.
  • Unapplied balances and unclaimed dividends relative to Judicial Factory proceedings.
  • Miscellaneous sums held at the discretion of the Accountant of Court.

The Accountant of Court will hold the funds until such times as the rightful party makes a successful claim and uplifts their funds for a period of 7 years. After 7 years any unclaimed funds are held by the Secretary of State under the Scottish Consolidated Fund.

At the bottom of this page you will find a list of all the companies names were funds have been consigned in the last 7 years.

The register is updated on a regular basis and records go back to 01 January 2010.

If you have successfully identified yourself from the register please contact us by email, quoting the Register Ref Number and the Company Name involved to begin the claim process. If you believe you are due funds from a consignation that predates 2010 please also email using our consignation contact page.
