About the Procurement Team

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service spends approximately £70m on goods, works and services each year. The procurement function at SCTS ensures the organisation operates efficiently and in line with the corporate procurement strategy and in compliance with Scottish public procurement legislation. Our main objectives are to:

• Maximise value for money through the end-to-end delivery of our contracts.
• Encourage innovation in procurement by working closely with the supply chain during early supplier engagement activities then throughout the life of the contract.
• Promote inclusive policies to reduce barriers to participation from SMEs, Third Sector organisations and Supported Businesses.
• Fully consider the impacts of our operations and work with suppliers to implement innovative solutions to respond to the climate crisis.
• Delivery of the Sustainability Procurement Duty.

The procurement function includes the following categories which focus on the strategic development and management of contracts for the business areas associated:

Corporate and Change

Responsible for all sourcing related to our corporate and IT services as well as projects linked to long term strategic goals to develop the organisations new practices.

Estates and Built Assets

Responsible for sourcing all projects related to SCTS estate and maintenance of the estate.

Purchasing Team

Is responsible for raising purchase orders, supporting non-regulated spend and working to resolve invoice issues.
