Case tracking in Court of Session will be introduced on Wednesday 5 February 2025. This represents the first digital service available in the Court of Session and enables 90% of case types to be tracked online.
From 5 February 2025, legal professionals will be able to monitor the status and progress of their Court of Session cases, offering real time updates on case activity, ensuring solicitors and legal professionals have the most up to date information about a case at their fingertips.
This innovative tool is designed to enhance the management and tracking of civil cases, significantly improving the efficiency of legal proceedings in Scotland.
Key Features of the Court of Session Case Tracker include:
- Functionality to track the majority (approximately 90%) of Court of Session case types.
- Cases registered on or after 1 August 2024 will be trackable.
- Easy access to case information including documents, interlocutors and timetables
- Up to date information on past and future hearings.
Document submission for Court of Session cases will not be available at this time. However, it will show what number of processes has been allocated to documents and allow copies of any document to be downloaded.
The SCTS invites all legal professionals to familiarise themselves with the new system and explore its benefits. We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who took part in our user research and who attended sessions earlier this year.
