Case tracking in the Court of Session

Case tracking will soon be introduced at the Court of Session and legal professionals are invited to attend demonstration sessions ahead of the launch.

Following the launch of the Ordinary Actions Case Tracker in the Sheriff Court on 1 August 2024, case tracking is now coming to the Court of Session.

The SCTS would like to invite legal professionals to virtual demonstrations of the latest enhancement for Civil Online. The sessions will take place on the following dates:

  • Session 1 – Monday 20 January 2025 at 4pm
  • Session 2 – Tuesday 21 January 2025 at 4pm

To access the demonstration please click the link below:

Solicitors will be able to monitor the status and progress of their Court of Session cases, offering real time updates on case activity, ensuring they have the most up to date information about a case at their fingertips.

Key Features of the Court of Session Case Tracker include:

  • Functionality to track the majority (approximately 90%) of Court of Session case types.
  • Easy access to case information including documents, interlocutors and timetables
  • Up to date information on past and future hearings.

Document submission for Court of Session cases will not be available at this time. However, it will show what number of process has been allocated to documents and allow copies of any document to be downloaded.

If you would like any additional information or if you are unable to attend any of the sessions but would like a demonstration in the future, please contact Michael Rodger on: civilonlinelab@scotcourts.gov.uk
