We have been informed that some members of the public have
received phone calls purporting to be from Edinburgh Sheriff and Justice of the
Peace Court about outstanding payments.
These calls DO
NOT come from Edinburgh Sheriff Court. This is a scam and should be ignored.
SCTS does not proactively call people threatening action over National
Insurance or debts.
Please do not
contact the court unless you need to discuss an existing case or account. If
you have concerns about possible fraud, please contact the police.
