Sheriff and jury trials are not proceeding in TC&F courts today. With public transport cancelled and roads in some areas impassable, the safety of staff, jurors, witnesses and professionals is of utmost priority. Jurors have been asked to call the helpline tomorrow morning at 9am before travelling for a further update. Other business is proceeding. No staff are able to attend at Forfar Sherriff Court but are working from home. No courts are scheduled for today.

No sheriff and jury trials due to travel difficulties.
Grampian, Highland and Islands
Tain
Staff are unable to attend the building today but phone contact is available and a remote hearing proceeded.
Office of the Public Guardian
The building is open today but will close at 3pm. Customer calls are redirected so there will be minimal impact on customers.
Current warnings
A yellow warning for snow and ice remains in place from today (Wednesday) until midnight Saturday.
