  • Victims and Witnesses report published

    The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service has published the Standards of Service for Victims and Witnesses Annual Report 2015-2016 produced in partnership with Police Scotland, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, the Scottish Prison Service and the Parole Board for Scotland. Standards of service for victims and witnesses were established in April 2015 and the Annual Report has been prepared to show how the organisations have performed against these standards over the past year and any changes they intend to make and why

  • Appointment of Lord Justice Clerk

    Her Majesty the Queen, on the recommendation of the First Minister, has appointed the Rt. Hon Lady Dorrian QC as Lord Justice Clerk. Lady Dorrian will take up her appointment on 26 April, the day of her installation.

  • Amendment to court fees

    Many of the fees payable to the SCTS will change from 1 April 2016 as a result of Fee Orders issued by the Scottish Government. Fee Orders set out the matters for which fees may be charged by the SCTS and the level of those fees.
