Please note that the early May Bank Holiday next year will move from Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May. The change will mean that the Bank Holiday falls on the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. The intention is that this anniversary will be marked throughout the UK on the same day.
An amendment has been made to the Rules of the Court of Session, by the Act of Sederunt (Rules of the Court of Session 1994 Amendment) Court Sittings) 2019, to substitute the new date and all courts and tribunals will publish a full list of 2020 public holidays with this amended date in due course.
