Civil Online Enhancements

Dec 14, 2018

From today, Civil Online users will now be able to view, save and print court documents via the service.

Users can also receive automated notifications in new simple procedure cases registered by courts from today. In order to receive notifications in this way, users must select “Online” as their preferred method of contact in their Simple Procedure Claim or Response Form.

Court staff will continue to post documents in all cases for a short period to allow for ongoing testing. Thereafter, online notification will replace the postal process in all cases in which parties/solicitors have requested “online” contact.

Civil Online users from legal and non-legal organisations are encouraged to regularly access Civil Online in order to manage the receipt of electronic notifications.

Further guidance can be found here.

Today’s enhancements to the Civil Online service continue the journey towards a fully online submission process for simple procedure cases, on track for delivery in Quarter 1 of 2019-20.
