Official Statistics

The Management Information and Analysis Team of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service is a small group of analysts with operational experience. The team produces official statistics and provides management information and analysis to local and national operational managers as well as a variety of justice organisations.

SCTS publishes two Official Statistics collections:

Courts Data Scotland: Fines

The CDSF is a long-running series of bulletins and workbooks about collection rates in Scotland for fines imposed in Sheriff and Justice of the Peace courts as well as fiscal and police penalties. (Formerly known as the Quarterly Fines Report)

Courts Data Scotland: Criminal

The CDSC is a series of bulletins and workbooks about criminal business in Scotland at national and local court level in the High, Sheriff and Justice of the Peace courts. (Formerly known as the Quarterly Criminal Court Statistics Report)
